Career: has extensive experience of information technology within the aviation sector. As Information Systems Manager at Aer Lingus, he was responsible for all of the airline's investments in IT. He resigned this position in 2002 to found a start-up company offering tools and services designed to reduce fuel consumption for airlines. Politics: First joined the Green Party / Comhaontas Glas in 1989. Elected to  South Dublin County Council in 2004 on first attempt. Chairs the Terenure / Rathfarnham Area Committee and the Environment Policy Committee. Member of the County Development and Enterprise Boards and the Dublin Regional Authority. Member of KWCD Partnership and chairs the Green Party Economic and Social Committee.

I was born in Oldcastle, Co Meath. I live in Harold's Cross in Dublin City. My business is in Swords in Fingal and I am a councillor in South Dublin County.

As a member of the South Dublin Enterprise Board, the County Development Board and the Dublin Regional Authority I try to ensure
that the activities of these bodies is clearly focussed on maintaining and improving the economic competitive position of the region.
